徽州儒商"扬州二马"热衷文士交游,与浙西词派中坚巨匠厉鹗交往颇深,二马词作受其影响甚多,极具浙派风格。词风清新幽冷,用笔刻削细腻,情感平易近人。《词苑萃编》中称二马词"清新刻削,能自名一家"。
