个人主义在历史上曾起过积极作用,但它总是要诱发私欲的不断膨胀,导致个人与社会的对立。集体主义反对把个人利益置于集体利益之上,但决不限制个性的发展。弘扬社会主义的集体主义是当前精神文明建设的重要任务。

Although having played an important active role in history, individualism, in the end, leads to expanding selfish and results in severe conflicts between individuals and the society. Collectivism transcending on individualism does not mean to confine individual development. Advocating and developing socialistic collectivism is the significant task of constructing spiritual civilization at present.
