Through the analysis on the present situation of the shunting work in the traffic section, this paper describes the demerits existing in the work its elf, and points out that only relying on the careful practice of storming the ga te of safe shunting connecting with the season's variations, operating features and site conditions, grasping firmly the shunting management, and increasing the safety consciousness and professional quality of the workers, can the safety of shunting operation be ensured.
