A computer-aided design system is developed for socks' color-matching and creative pattern design. This system is composed of three modules, i. e. , the pattern input, composite color-matching, and output modules. By using the sock pattern base and the element model base as well as the color-matching design base, various color-matching and pattern designs may be generated and the personalized designing becomes possible.
