3D Recursive Searching Block Matching Algorithm Applied in Video Format Conversion

摘要 视频格式转换技术在媒体多元化的时代,有非常广泛的应用。文章介绍并实现了在基于运动补偿的格式转换中显示独特优越性的一种块匹配运动估计方法———三维递归搜索算法,该算法在运动矢量的真实性、算法实现的简单性方面都优于传统的运动估计算法。该文比较了该算法与其他算法(如全搜索算法、相位相关法)的性能,并对该算法在去隔行方面的应用作了分析。对该算法的研究为开发高清电视格式转换芯片提供了可贵的参考。 Video Format Conversion is very useful in modern age.This paper discusses one of block matching motion estimation-3D recursive searching algorithm which is more advantageous when applied in motion-compensated video for-mat conversion.This algorithm shows its superiority at true motion estimation and hardware complexity.This paper ana-lyzes properties of this algorithm with others motion estimation algorithm such as full search algorithm and phase corre-lation algorithm and shows the performance of3D recursive searching algorithm when applied in de-interlacing.All these works are good references for designing HDTV format converter chip.
