Research Process of Closing Hillsides to Facilitate Afforestation in Chinese TropicaI Zone and Subtropical Zone

封山育林是我国传统的育林方法之一,在林业建设中发挥着重要作用.总结了中国热带、亚热带地区各地封山育林现状及研究动态,提出在继承传统封山育林精华的基础上,以近自然林业理论为指导,不断完善管理体系,提高培育技术,实现封育技术的科学化.

Closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation which plays an important role in forestry construction is an approach of the traditional afforestation in our country. In this paper, through summarizing the current situation and research trend of closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation in South China, the ideas were put forward that basing on inheriting the essence of closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation, its management system should be perfected eventually and cultivation technique should be improved. At the same time applying the nature-approximating forestry theory to closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation will promote its technique and make it more scientific.
