Chinese traditional philosophers understood the essence of the world through the relationship between men and the Tian Dao. They thought that the inexplainableness of the Tian Dao was its right expression. On the one hand, the Tian Dao possesses no expression so that it is manifested by way of men's action that endows it with meanings. On the other hand, the Tian Dao can hardly be conveyed with words, nor can the inexplainable Tian Dao be dealt with notional thinking. It can only be comprehended and experienced intuitively. Both the idea that the inexplainableness of the Tian Dao was its right expression and the intuitive approach to the Tian Dao show that Chinese traditional philosophy is different from European philosophy in the way of thinking. It has a characteristic approach in view of nature and order of things, therefore it takes up a distinctive place in the history of world philosophy as well as that of human civilization. It certainly has its unique value.
