The authors hold that U.S. victory in the Iraq War will further reinforce its ambition of seeking world domination and intensify unilateralist trend in its action. The trend of multipolarization of world structure which has appeared after the end of the Cold War is likely to suffer setbacks. However, the Iraq War has not fundamentally changed the existing balance of power in the world and the general trend of multipolarization of world structure will continue to develop in a tortuous way.
