The computers in the network distinguish from each other by their IP.But they are very difficult to remember for good and accurately.So DNS(Domain Name System) are used to translate the domain name into IP.People can use domain name to visit the network directly.This article takes about the principle of the DNS and gives an example of the application of the DNS in school network which were built on Turbo Linux 6.0 operating system.
