在以水和乙醚组成的两相中,以硝酸钾-硫酸硝化,可使邻硝基对甲酚的得率达83％。不同有机溶剂对反应有明显影响,主要在于其能否稳定所形成的酚氧自由基。

The two-phase nitration of p-cresol by aqueous sulphuric acid, potassium nitrate and diethyl ether has been studied,yield as high as 83% 2-nitro-p-cresol. The type of organic solvent has considerable effect on the reaction, and the effect is mainly decided by the ability of the solvent to stabilize the phenoxy radical formed in the reaction.
