Towards a Model for e-Learning

摘要 网络教育具有不同于传统教育的特点和优势,需要建立相应的教育教学模式。构建网络教育教学模式的关键是掌握基础性的方法,正确认识和处理制约网络教育教学的各种关系。网路教育教学模式是多层次、多维度的,并且要适应科技和认识的发展,不断进行创新。 Teacher education in China has already introduced distance education and e-learning as elements in the learning and teaching processes. However, the features and strengths of e-learning are quite different from those of more traditional modes of learning. Thus it is of the utmost importance to create the conditions necessary for the implementation of an e-learning system. To this end, it is crucial to have a thorough understanding of the underlying principles of the e-learning model and the various relationships facilitating and constraining e-learning activities. These include the relationships between social demand and technical limitations, individualized learning and synergized learning, academic knowledge and occupational skills, online learning and other forms of learning, and economies of scale and quality effect. Any models for e-learning should consist of three elements: teaching, management and organization. Different models might have different emphases and functions but they all act as a means to organize the internal relations of the e-learning system. This paper puts forward three recommendations. First, an e-learning model should be hybrid. In other words, different teaching sub-systems should be included: online interactive teaching, individualized absorption learning and team-based interaction. Second, a cascade management model should be created to integrate family, school and society, with a view to optimizing resources allocation and making resource sharing efficient. Third, teaching education establishments should be utilized as nodes in a diffused organizational model.
