摘要
美国麻省理工学院 (MIT)从上世纪 70年代开始对本科教育进行改革。经过几十年的探索 ,在教育理念、教育目标、教育方式和课程设置等方面 ,MIT形成了独具特色的本科教育风格 ,UROP、IAP、EIP等一系列本科教学和科研方案的实施大大提高了该校的本科教育质量。由此对我国研究型大学本科教育的改革提出建议 :构建现代教育观 ,实行文理兼修的通识教育 ,建立以研究为基础的本科教育体系。
Massachusetts Institute of Technology began to reform its undergraduate education since the 1970s. After several decades' exploration, MIT has developed its own features in the ideas, goals, modes, and curriculum offerings of undergraduate education. Its undergraduate teaching and research programs, such as UROP, IAP and EIP, have greatly improved the quality of undergraduate education. The MIT way gives us some implications: we should ①introduce modern educational ideas; ②value liberal education which pays attention to both science and arts; ③set up an undergraduate education system which is based on research.
