A Scheme of Dynamic Load Balancing Implemented by“Load Router”

负载均衡问题是分布式系统领域中主要研究方向之一,也是将来网格计算中需要解决的难题之一。文章通过对传统负载均衡方法的分析,并结合网络路由器的基本原理,提出了负载路由的思想,也就是负载均衡的硬件解决方案,给出了它的体系结构,并对其可行性进行了初步的探讨。

Load balancing is a key concern when developing parallel and distributed processing applications.The emergence of grid computing extends this problem,where issues of cross-domain and large -scale scheduling must also be considered.Inspired by the Internet router,a″load router″is proposed in this paper.A brief study shows that the hardware can improve performance and resource utilization significantly.
