郑樵是汉字发展史上继徐锴之后又一位重要的学者。他的《六书略》是其研究汉字学的专著 ,与许慎《说文》相比 ,有继承也有创新 ,具有自己的鲜明特点 ;郑樵的成就 ,与其学术积累、思想基础。

Following Xu Kai, Zheng Qiao was another great scholar with his own traits and contributions in the development history of Chinese Character. Compared with Xu Shen's Interpretation of Chinese Characters, Outline of Six Books, Zheng Qiao's masterpiece on Chinese Character studies, inherited Xu's research results, and created his own with distinctive features; Zheng Qiao's achievements were naturally related to his own subjective factors and the objective surroundings for his writing at that time. His own subjective factors involved his academic accumulation, ideological basis, creative awareness, etc..
