Based on Marxist' s price theory of labor force and experience of developed countries in hou sing subsidy practice,it is considered t hat housing subsidies are paid by the finance ministry of the government t o im-prove housing conditions of low -income and poor families.By making the t heoretical model of housing subsidi es,this paper analyzes different meani ngs of housing subsidies at differen t stages of China' s urban housing system re-form.New interpretation has been put on housing subsidies and monetization of housing distribution.
