A Brief Introduction to AACR2's Updates for Electronic Resources

《英美编目规则》第二版(AACR2)旨在为各种类型的文献资料提供一个著录标准,这一标准不仅适用于过去和现在,而且还适用于将来。但是文献资源的海量增长、新的文献类型特别是网络资源的出现,已经给AACR2提出了严峻挑战。文章从分析AACR2的局限性入手,着重介绍了第9章电子资源著录的新规则,旨在为我国编目界进行电子资源编目提供著录方面的参考。

Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR)provides a descriptive standard for all types of materials, regardless of their formats or forms. The basic rules are not only intended for the materials in the past and present, but also for the materials in the future. However, they have been challenged by the rapid development of the Internet. This paper focuses on the new rules of AACR for the ever-changing new types of materials, especially the electronic resources.
