强化服务意识,努力提高外文报刊利用率

Enhance awareness of service and improve the utilization rate of papers and periodicals in foreign languages

随着世界经济一体化和知识经济时代的来临,外文图书情报在我国经济、社会发展过程中的作用越来越重要。但部分高校图书馆外文图书情报服务的观念、方式等却不能满足这种需要,外文报刊资源的开发、利用大受影响。高校图书馆应着重从培养读者的阅读兴趣、树立读者模仿的典型和提供一流的服务水平等方面采取措施,强化服务意识,提高外文报刊资源的利用率。

In the progress of the economic globalization and the development of knowledge economy, periodicals and books in foreign languages play a more and more important role in the economic and social development in China. But the concept of service for readers, ways of service in the university libraries fall behind and can't meet the needs of the readers in this respect,so that they can't develop and make full use of the valuable resources. University libraries should take measures to improve service quality, such as measures to cultivate reader's interest, to set good examples among readers, to provide a firstclass service, to enhance librarian's awareness of service and attain the goal of improve the utilization rate of papers and periodicals in foreign languages. 
