W.-W. Hoepker was born in July 1942 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. He studied medicine and philosophy inHamburg and Heidelberg. In Mtinster/Westphalia he wasappointed to a professorship at the Institute of Pathologyin Heidelberg; Since 1987 he has been the Head of theInstitute of Pathology at Barmbek General Hospital, Ham-burg.
