Understanding and attitudes of college students in Hebei toward trial marriage

对1662名在校大学生的调查表明,45.97%的大学生认为试婚现象的产生是社会进步、婚姻自由的反映。26.17%的大学生认为试婚可以提高婚姻质量,53.19%的大学生认为试婚的做法各有利弊。18.96%的大学生在恋爱期间可能主动提出试婚要求,34.53%的大学生在得到对方的试婚要求后可能会同意。54.88%的大学生对对方试过婚的行为不在乎、给予谅解。60.95%的大学生认为试婚失败是双方的不幸,没有一个女生认为男方吃亏。17.15%大学生表示试婚失败后要继续再试。56.86%的大学生认为试婚现象今后将继续蔓延、长期存在下去。男女大学生对试婚的意向做法有一定的差异,城乡家庭出身对试婚的观念影响不大。

A total of 1662 undergraduates were investigated on their understanding and attitudes toward trial marriage.The resulats showed that 95.97 percent of them considered that the phenomenon of trial marriage reflects the social progressand freedom in marriage.26.17 percent of students maintained that trial marriage can improve the quality of marriage.53.19percent of students considered that trial marriage has both advantages and disadvantages.18.96 percent of students would takethe initiative to propose trial marriage,and 34.53 percent of students would agree when the counterparts proposed trial mar-riage.54.88 percent of undergraduates were indifferent to other people's trial marriage,and had an understanding of it.60.95percent of students thought that failure in trial marriage is a misfortune for both parts.No girl student regarded that boys are ata disadvantage.17.15 percent of students would try again if the trial failed.56.86 percent of students believed that trial marriage would continue to spread and exist for a long time in the future.There were differences in attitude toward trial marriagebetween boy and girl students,but no significant difference in it between students sprung of families in urban area and those offamilies in rural area.
