An automatic extracting system for the mouth feature points of human face imges

利用彩色人脸的特点 ,设计一个初步的人脸图像嘴巴特征点的自动提取系统。通过水平投影和垂直投影确定嘴巴的矩形区域 ,然后在嘴巴所在的矩形区域内提取 6个特征点 ,并且由这 6个点拟合五段二次抛物线 ,由此描绘出嘴巴的边缘轮廓。实验证明 。

The paper designed a primary automatic extracting system for the mouth feature points of human face images by making use of the features of color human faces. The rectangle area of the mouth is determined by horizontal and vertical projections. And we can extract six feature points from the rectangle area the mouth is in, and these points interpolate a five-section quadratic parabola, thus the figure of the mouth can be described. Experiments show that the method can be used to effectively extract and accurately describe the features of the mouth.
