摘要
研究了中国科学院大气物理研究所大气科学与地球物理实验室(LASG/IAP)的全球海洋环流模式的串行计算特点,分析了其可扩展并行性,实现了基于一维纬向剖分的分布式存储和共享存储并行计算。结合目前高性能计算机的技术特点,研究了并行海洋环流模式的计算优化,提出若干优化策略。
The computational characteristic of the third generation ocean general circulation model (OGCM) from the state key laboratory of numerical modeling for atmospheric science and geophysical fluid dynamics, institute of atmosphere physics (LASG/IAP) is investigated.The paper analyzes its parallelism and implementation both on distributed memory and shared memory parallel computer, with the spitting of latitude zones. Meanwhile, with a view to the main characteristics of high performance architecture, the optimization of parallel computing for OGCM is discussed. Several strategies of optimization are presented here, that are instructive to the optimization of parallel computing for the grand challenging problems.
