Though living in a turbulent period,Wen Yiduo devoted his short life to academic research.The reason why he did research on the ancient books is to work better for the reality of his country. National selfesteem and national sense of crisis is the motive force of his research,so the history of his academic research is also the history of rescuing his country from sufferings.Patriotism is the theme of his research and the pursuit of science,truth,democratic freedom and national independence is the main melody of his life.He is a poet,a scholar.a democratic fighter,a fighter of modem New Cultural Movement and a pioneer of the Chinese democratic revolution.In addition,Wen Yiduo worked as a teacher for more than twenty years.As an excellent teacher.he conducted-himself as a-model of virtue-and learning,influencing others with both his words and deeds, and he spared no effort to foster a new generation of bibliographical researchers on the classical documentation.
