With the rapid development of information industry,the issue of standardized management in the process of software development has drawn more and more attention.As the most popular standard for maturity certification of software enterprises,the Capability Maturity Model(CMM) provides the framework for the management of software engineering achievements.A brief introduction is made of the essentials of CMM,its methods of evaluation,and particularly its application to the improvement of software process.
