光盘技术在情报工作中的应用及其前景

APPLYING OPTICAL DISK TECHNOLOGY TO INFORMATION WORK AND ITS PROSPECTS

文章概括地叙述了光盘技术的发展简史、原理和特点,着重介绍国外近年来电视唱片和一次写入光盘在情报工作中的应用情况。作者认为,我国情报界对光盘应用应持积极态度。同时必须注重其经济效益。在建立全国计算机情报检索网络时,应充分考虑采用光盘的问题,并认为光盘和缩微品将长期共存互为补充。

The paper summarises briefly the history of development, the principles and the features of the optical disk technology and emphatically introduces the conditions for application of TV records and primary write-in optical disks to information work abroad in recent years. The author believes that the information circle in China ought to hold a positive attitude towards the application of the optical disk while paying attention to its economic benefits. When establishing the national computer information retrieval network, ample consideration should be given to the problem of adopting the optical disk. He also believes that optical disks and microreproductions will coexist for a long period of time as they mutually complement each other during use.
