宇宙观是文化的核心问题。中西方的传统宇宙观属于两种不同的类型 ,西方为原子论 ,中国则为气一元论。到了近代 ,中西方传统的宇宙观都陷入了危机 ,从而使得中西方宇宙观出现了互相汇合交融、取长补短。

World outlooks are the core of cultures. The traditional world outlooks of the Chinese and the Westerners belong to two different types. The traditional world outlook of the Westerners is atomism while the traditional world outlook of the Chinese is monism. But in modern times, both of them have fallen into a crisis. So the mutual blend of the world outlooks of the Chinese and the Westerners is the inevitable trend of the development of history.
