The Effects of Sex Hormonal Contraceptives on Women’s Periodontal Tissue

牙周组织是女性激素的靶器官,为了解长期使用性激素类避孕药对牙周组织的影响,作者调查了本地区纺织女工1005人,其中177人连续用性激素类避孕药半年以上.根据用药时间及口腔卫生情况共分6组,进行配对比较.结果表明,细菌仍是牙周炎的始动因子,性激素的增加在牙周炎发病过程中也起了作用.性激素类避孕药首先影响牙龈组织,随着用药时间的增长,牙周深部组织也会遭到破坏,提示连续使用这类药2年以上者应采取保护措施.

Periodontal tissue is one of the target tissue of sex steroid hormones. In order to know the effect on peri- odontal tissue after long term administration of sex hormonal contraceptives, one thousand and five female workers in the local textile factories were examined. One hundred and seventy seven persons among them have had sex hormonal contraceptives for more than half a year. According to their oral hygienic conditions and the periods of using contraceptives, all cases were devided into 6 groups,then paired and compared. The results show that the bacteria are the first causal factor in periodontitis. The increasing of sex hormone in the body also plays a role in the process of periodontitis. The gingival tissue is influenced by sex hormonal con- traceptives first. Then the deep periodontal tissue will be destroyed further while these agents are used longer. So effective methods to prevent the periodontal desease among the persons who have used these agents for more than 2 years must be taken.
