In The Awakening,Kate Chopin expresses fiminist ideas not only through the radical feminist and rebel- Edna,but also through the other homely feminist Adele,who practices fiminism as a mother and wife at home in different ways. Through Edna and Adele,Chopin exhibits two feminist images in contrast,which enriches the ideological connotations of feminism.
