The influence of nucleating agents and nucleation promoters(PEG) on the crystallization of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) was studied by means of DSC, isothermal crystallization speedmeter. It was found that the nucleation promoters release the freezing chains of PET and improve their ability of movement, which benefites the crystallization of PET. However, the nucleation promoters have little influence on the nucleation and crystallization of PET and crystallization rate of PET. The nucleating agent can promote the nucleation and crystallization of PET and quicken the crystallization rate of PET.
