Amfebutamone hydrochloride is an antidepressant.1-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-propanone takes for raw material.After through brominating,N-alkylation,the amfebutamone hydrochloride was obtained.A new bromizating agent was used in the brominating reaction.Immediate brominating was averted.The yield was over 85%.Polyethylene glycol(PEG)took for phase-transfer catalyst(PTC) in the N-alkylation reaction which good yields.The structures of the products were determined by IR, 1HNMR and elemental analysis.
