The corporatization of rural collective assets institution is a major subject and a distinctive phenomenon in the process of rural urbanization in China since the 1980 s.Based on the investigation of rural joint-stock cooperative economic institution in Tianhe District of Guangzhou,this essay delineates the main process of the evolution of the corporatization of rural collective economic institution,summarizes its essential characteristics,and discusses its significance as a new subject to the study of rural urbanization in China.
