From Dorje Den to Dbus Gtsang——Tibetan Buddhism from the Perspective of Cultural Assimilation

本文从文化交融的视角出发,从藏族引进佛教和翻译佛典的主动选择、翻译理论的颁布确立、宗教地理的参与建构、方兴未艾的对外传播数个方面分析藏族文化对印度佛教文化的选择、接受与融合,进而在'宗教中国化'的大视野下,从印度文化对藏族文化的互适性来展望藏传佛教与汉传佛教的互适性,进而真正理解我国各民族所共同创造的光辉灿烂的中华文明在世界文明史上的地位。

Starting from the perspective of cultural assimilation,this paper analyzes the different aspects of Tibetan Buddhist selection,acceptation,and acculturation of Indian Buddhism,including Tibetan society’s intentional introduction of Buddhism,translation,the establishment of theory of translation,taking part in the reconstruction of sacred geography,and outward dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism.Further,under the wide view of localization of religion,the paper discusses the prospective acculturation between Tibetan Buddhism and Han Chinese Buddhism,based on the adaptation between Indian culture and Tibetan culture.It aims to prompt the real understanding of the place of Chinese culture which is created by all of ethnic groups living in China in the history of world culture.
