Exploring the Precept of Cultural Re-contextualization From Western Tuvan Throat Singing Musical Upbringing

本文试图探索"再语境化交流"方法论作为民族志研究模式的可能性。通过描写我作为田野研究者与四家图瓦共和国喉音歌者民间音乐家庭的深入接触过程,在跨文化语境中对于研究参与程度与成员身份本真性之间的关系进行反思。此项研究将讨论点从目标田野地区的正规语言培训转换到艺术技术性非口头语言的培养,以分析音乐教养在文化再语境化中的意义。在俄罗斯图瓦共和国的田野民族志喉音教养体验,使我更明确了感知和身体性在提高参与程度与加强成员身份中的作用,为艺术人类学方法论研究和分析方式提供另类的可能性。

This paper attempts to explore the potential of a're-contextualization exchange'methodology as model for ethnographic research.Through description of my in-depth interactions as a field researcher with four Tuvan folk throat singer households in the Republic of Tuva,I conduct reflections about the relationship between the degree of participation and the membership authenticity within cross-cultural contexts.This research deemphasizes local orthodox language learning while emphasizing instead local art technical non-oral language cultivation and thereby analyzes the significance of musical upbringing within cultural re-contextualization.My ethnographic throat singing field experience in the Republic of Tuva in Russia made more clear the function of aesthesia and physicality in increase the degree of participation and strengthening membership.Furthermore,it offers an alternative possibility for art anthropology methodology research and analysis.
