“世界工厂”里的青年困境及其可能

Plights and Outlets of Youth in “World Factory”

导演郭熙志的纪录片《工厂青年》(2016),聚焦于当前全球化进程中的新生代工人群体,并以"工厂""青年""故乡""日记"等四个章节,将工厂青年-知识青年、生产-消费、城市-乡村、中国-世界等不同维度,纳入到了对青年群体的整体性观察中来。透过该片对当代青年现实处境和精神困境的细致呈现,本文试图分析并阐明,今天的工厂青年不仅在工厂车间里完成着超负荷的生产劳动,同时还置身于主导性意识形态的再生产过程中。而知识青年与工厂青年既共享着这一意识形态结构,又被其加以区隔。如何有效地打破这种区隔,进而破除个人主义、消费主义等迷思,成为了青年人在今天必须重新思考和共同面对的关键问题。

Factory Youth(2016),a documentary directed by GUO Xizhi,focuses on the new generation of Chinese workers in the current globalization process,and observes the youth groups from the perspective of factory youth/educated youth,production/consumption,city/village and China/world in its four chapters: Factory,Youth,Hometown and Diary. Through the detailed presentation of the realistic situation and spiritual plight of contemporary youth,this paper attempts to analyze and clarify that today’s factory youth not only bear the overloaded production labor in the factory workshops,but also place themselves in the reproduction process of the dominant ideology. Educated youth and factory youth both face the same ideological structure while being separated by it at the same time. How to break the division and the myth of individualism and consumerism has become a key issue that we must rethink and face together today.
