试论中国古代数学史的某些评价观点

On Some Viewpoints of Evaluation of Ancient Chinese Mathematic History

本文从数学价值观与科学方法论的角度,讨论了当前中国古代数学史研究中的某些观点。本文认为中国古代数学的某些评价缺乏理论上的价值标准,而且评价的程序往往也缺乏科学的方法。本文指出,古代数学的评价本质上是对文化传统的评价,数学的评价及其价值观念应当是对数学进行哲学思辨的结果。

Some viewpoints are discussed about the contemporary study of ancient chinese mathematic history at the angle of maths evaluation viewpoint and scientific methodology. We hold that, certain evaluations of ancient Chinese maths show a lack of theoretical value standard and scientific method is often scarcely used in the procedure of evaluation. The paper finally points out that evaluation of ancient maths is as a matter of fact that of cultural tradition, and that mathematical evaluation and its value concept should be the result of philosophic thoughts of maths.
