象征符号与仪式传播:人类传播起源的重构

Symbolic Sign and Ritual Communication:Origin of Human Communication Reconstructed

本文以凯瑞"传播的仪式观"为出发点,结合现当代的考古材料、民族志以及古史传说,对史前传播进行构架和解读。现当代的考古发掘和民族学研究表明,旧石器时代的人类已经进行象征物的制作,原始宗教(巫术—宗教)曾经贯通先民的生活经验和精神生活。巫术仪式是人类传播活动的最早形态之一。"象征符号"很可能借助"使观念可感知"的功能首先占据了史前传播的核心地位。仪式表面上是象征符号的汇集,实际上是宇宙观和价值观的传递,并形成社会活动组织化和系统化的主要心理基础。

Based on James W.Carey's 'ritual view of communication',this paper reconstructs and rereads the origin of human communication by using latest archaeological,ethnological materials and prehistoric stories.These studies show human makes symbols from lower Paleolithic.Primitive religion(Witch-religion)has combined human's living experience with spirit life at the same time.Witch ritual is one of the earliest forms of human communication.Symbolic sign probably occupies the core of prehistoric communication by the feature of'making the mind sensible'.Ritual acts seemingly as binding of symbolic tokens;actually it delivers Cosmology and Values.It roots the psychological foundation for organized and systematized social life.
