理工院校的英语专业在招生和就业方面与综合类高校相比存在很多差距,必须加快教学改革与实践研究,只有依托区域经济发展,改变教学内容,确立学科模式,增加实践环节等,才能培养适应区域经济发展的专业人才。

There is a great gap between the English major in Engineering universities and that in comprehensive universities,both in recruiting and in employment. Teaching reforms and practical researches must be made as soon as possible. Only relying on the development of regional economy,changing teaching content,establishing discipline patterns,increasing practices,can professional graduates be trained who are qualified for the regional economy.
