The Chinese Furniture Industry is Becoming a World Supplier

中国家具业的出口近年大幅增长,为国际家具业所关注,认为中国将成为家具的世界工厂。虽然在规模上中国已成为家具生产大国,但从产业发展模式、技术水准、创新能力、品牌等诸多方面来看,中国要成为家具的世界工厂仍需10～20年的努力,进行跨越式的发展才能实现。

Furniture exports from China have been booming in recent years. This has attracted so much attention by the international furniture industry that some predict that the Chinese furniture industry will become a world supplier. Although China produces furniture on a large scale, the Chinese furniture industry has not been strong enough to be the leader in the international furniture industry from the view of the industry development mode, technical level, creative ability, brand name, etc. Both the difficulties and possibilities for the Chinese furniture industry to become a world supplier were investigated. However, in the author's opinion, there is still ten to twenty years of research and development before this can be achieved.
