在新中国成立后的三十年期间,贺麟先生(1902—1992)不仅经常在思想上遭到批判,政治上受到打击,有时也在肉体上受到侵犯,而他始终老老实实,勤勤恳恳,无怨无悔,全力以赴。回顾贺先生在40年里用研究、翻译和讲解《小逻辑》所构成的三轮螺旋式前进的历程,我们将会从中看到一位诚实的哲人对辩证法真理永不停歇的追求,看到一位勤奋的智者对知性思维方式不断提出的挑战。

During the 1950 s and 1980 s,Prof.HE Lin(1902—1992)not only faced the criticism from Chinese mainstream philosophy,but also suffered frequent ideological attacks and persecution,and sometimes even physical abuse during Chinese political movements.No matter whatever conditions were,he always harbored an honest and determined attitude and regretless dedication to his pursuit of knowledge and truth.Looking back on his 40 years’ academic career,the spirals that he developed in his tree fold work,i.e.,research,translation and interpretation of Hegel’s Short Logic,we shall see that he was not only an honest philosopher who had never given up his pursuit of dialectic truth,but also a diligent sage who constantly raised challenges to intellectual thinking.
