贺麟(1902—1992),中国近代著名哲学家(新儒学的代表人物,新心学的创始人),哲学史家,黑格尔研究专家,翻译家。作为中国人,他对祖国和民族有深深的爱,明确承担知识分子对社会的责任。作为学者,他以求真求知为目标。作为个体,他的特点在于天赋加勤奋,不受任何干扰,让思想在笔端自由流淌,在翻译的枯燥中自得其乐。
HE Lin(1902—1992) is a prominent philosopher(one of leading New-Confucianists,the founder of the New Idealistic Confucianism),historian of philosophy,well known scholar of Hegel and translator in modern China.As a Chinese,he cultivated a deep love for his country and shouldered an intellectual’s social responsibility.As a scholar,he aimed high in the pursuit of knowledge and truth.As an individual,he overcame any external interferences and turbulence,benefitted from his talent and hard working spirit,and seeked freedom in thought,and got enjoyment from his tedious work of translation.
