随着中国加入WTO和产业结构调整 ,文、经、法、管等领域文科类高职人才紧缺。高职教育应顺应时代发展的趋势 ,与时俱进 ,及时调整专业结构 ,主动适应社会需求 ,加快紧缺人才的培养。本文分析了泰州职业技术学院发展应用文科类专业的必要性和可行性 。

With China joining WTO and the adjustment of industry structure, the talents of advanced vocation is lacking in the fields of literature?economy?law?management and so on. The advanced vocation should adapt to the trend of epoch developmnet and quicken the cultivation of urgent talents. The paper analyses the necessity and feasibility of developing arts speciality, points out the space in arts speciality.
