略论福克纳对堕落女性的两种言说方式

福克纳笔下的堕落女性有两类:一类以莉娜、鲁碧、凯蒂为代表,一类以谭波儿、杜威为代表。分析她们反叛南方妇道传统的不同原因和在反叛过程中的不同表现,前者是人情、人性美的象征,是“灵”的代表代;后者则丧失掉了心灵的高责,是“肉”的体现。福克纳通过对“灵”与“肉”这两种堕落女性的塑造来表现了他对现实社会中人性堕落的失望和对传统美德的呼唤。

In this thesis,the author classifies the degenerate female characters in William , Faulkner's writing as two kinds. The thesis analyses in two ways: why they are against the Southern traditional attitudes towards women and how they do it. The author regards the former as the symbol of beauty in human nature,standing for'spirits' ,and the latter,who have lost the human dignity,standing for 'flesh'. Through portraying these two kinds of female character,who either standing for'spirit'or'flesh' .Faulkner showed his great disappointment in the degeneration in human nature and calling for the traditional virtues.
