By analyzing the factors influencing the evolution of the ownership structure in family businesses, a theoretical model of this evolution was presented. Based on the behavior characteristics of family businesses, the evolution of the ownership structure was studied from an angle of the life cycle of the family business. Theoretical and practical instructions were given to build up a governing mode suitable for the development of the family businesses.
