The article discusses the significance of innovational education in Colleges and universities and its effects on college students. The relationship between innovation education and college students' extracurricular activities of science and technology is discussed, namely, innovation education is the prerequisite for achievements in extracurricular activities of science and technology; college students extracurricular science and technology activities are a new platform for and principal form of innovation education. Such activities are not only a practical link in the innovation education chain, testing the achievement of innovation education, but also enrich the connotations of innovation education; meanwhile, such activities are a main channel to improve college students' spirit and ability of innovation. Therefore, it is suggested that colleges and universities should create conditions in many aspects and deepen college students extracurricular activities of science and technology.
