On Wang Xianqian's Block-Printing Books

季清大儒王先谦终生致力于文献典籍的整理编辑校刊工作，是我国近代史上著名的集众说学者，一生之中刊刻书籍40余种。其版本可分为书院刻本、局刻本、家刻本。王先谦十分重视版本校辑工作，所刻印的书籍校勘精确，刻印精良，为清代晚期刻本之冠。

Wang Xianqian was one of the great Confucianists in later Qing Dynasty and a well-known learned scholar in Chinese later history. He was dedicated to the collating and editing of documents and books and block-printed 40 kinds of books all his life. His books included book-house edition, printing-house edition and family edition. Wang Xianqing attached such great importance to proofreading and editing work that his block-printed books were accurately collated and elegantly printed. So they were the best editions in later Qing Dynasty.
