荀子推崇礼治 ,同时又提高法律的地位。其隆礼重法视野下的礼法关系理论包括礼的内涵层面的礼中有法 ,政治和社会价值层面的礼法并重 ,儒家理想层面的礼尊法卑等三方面的内容。

Xun Zi pays attention not only to ritual but al so to law. His theory of the relation between the ritual and the law includes thre e aspects. The first is that the law exists in the ritual in term of the ritual. The second is that both the ritual and the law are of the same importance in th e fields of political and social value. The third is that the ritual is superior and the law is inferior in the opinions of the Confucianists.
