Purpose: Clinical observations on iris hyperpigmentation, and histopathologieal study of pigmented epithelium and iris stroma, following long-term latanoprost administration. Methods: In 127 patients with various iris colors, under long-term latanoprost treatment, iris pictures were taken before and after (1-3 years) latanoprost administration. In 35 patients, under latanoprost therapy (1.5-3 years), peripheral iridectomy specimens were obtained during trabeculectomies. Each specimen was
