Diplomacy and Related Code of Etiquette in Ming Dynasty

论述朱明王朝西南东北全方位的外交态势,分析洪武帝奠定、永乐及其后诸帝继承的明朝外交政策及其思想原则,探讨明朝外交事业的要点(也是特点):一是重视德治外交,二是讲究外交方面的大国之礼。

This thesis is concerning to the omnibearing diplomatic tendency throughout the Western,Southern,Eastern and Northern Ming Dynasty which the imperial family named 'Zhu'. The paper analyzed the diplomacy and its principal idea established by emperor Hongwu, inherited by Yongle and other successors, inquired into the Ming Dynasty's diplomatic rite and code of etiquette, and its merits and faults, pointed out two essentials (also features) in Ming Dynasty's foreign affairs: one is to attach great importance to the benevolent rule, another is to pay attention to the great nation's protocols.
