宁夏一新属恙螨(蜱螨亚纲:恙螨科)

A NEW GENUS OF CHIGGER FROM NINGXIA, CHINA (ACARI: TROMBICULIDAE)

1986年从宁夏回族自治区来到一种稀有的恙螨幼虫,系恙螨科(Trombiculidae)恙螨亚科(Trombiculinae)恙螨族(Trombiculini)中的一新属新种。 柳氏恙螨属Liuella新属 恙螨族幼虫鬚肢毛式fp=B-B-BNB/4B.S。眼2对较大。盾板宽盾形,无前侧肩,后缘中央具明显的乳状突起。后侧毛在盾板的外侧。感毛近基部具小棘。螯肢爪末端具三角冠。须肢爪3分叉。足基节毛fCx=1/2/1。胸毛式kSt=2/2/9。

A new genus is recorded from Ningxia Autonomous Region. Liuella virtus gen. et. sp. nov. ex Citellus dauricus alaschanicus on August 20, 1986 from Zhongning County are described.Liuella gen. nov.Larva of Trombiculini palpal formula B-B-BNB/4B.S. Galeala nude. Scutum round-shield without anterolateral shoulders, with obvious papilla-shaped centro-projection on the posterior margin. PL far off the scutum. Sensillae filiform, with setules near base and thick branches closely follow the setules. Palpal claw 3-pronged. Mastigenuala, mastitibiala and ma-stitarsala all absent but with a rather long nude seta on the middle part of basifemur of leg III. Genuala II and III, tibiala III all absent. fCx = 1/2/1. fSt = 2/2/9. Chelicerae with tricuspid cap. SIF = 4B.S-N-3-1000.0000.Liuella virtus sp. nov.Body long elliptical with length 554, width 341. The distance between two PL about 85 and between AL and PL about 34. Dorsal setae 134 in number, arranged in disorder, VS = 119, with 66 setae before anus. Genuala, tibialae of leg I and tibialae of leg II are thick blunt as solenidion. Holo-type deposited in the Dept. of Parasitology, Fujian Medical College, Fuzhou, Fujian, China.The generic name is in remembrane of the late Prof. Chi-ying Liu, one of the famous medical entomologist in China.
