许地山作为“文学研究会”的发起人之一,始终奉行“文艺为人生”的方针;同时他通过佛、道与基督的比较而终成基督徒。也正由于这两方面原因,导致他的文学创作既为社会、为人生,却又为弘扬基督博爱精神,从而体现了他那种“落花生”般朴实无华的自我牺牲品格。

Xu Dishan, one of the founder of 揟he Literature Research Committee? always followed the policy of 揕iterature for the life? and at the same time he made a comparison between Buddhism, Taoism and Christian and finally became a Christian. It was just due to these two reasons that his works with its simple self-sacrifice feature was for the society, the life and for promoting the Christian Philanthropism.
