The measurement method and design thought of the lateral rigidity of the single traction rod device are described. The high speed passenger car dynamics model with 35 degrees of freedom is applied to study the effect of lateral rigidity of the single traction rod device on the dynamics performance of passenger cars. The study shows that the lateral rigidity of the single traction rod shall be reduced as much as possible in order to obtain the good dynamics performance of passenger cars.
